In particular in underground mining, belt supporting structures, for example, are suspended on the support by means of claw-like devices. In order to produce devices of this type in a material- and space-saving manner and in easy-to-transport sizes, provision is made for the hook (1), produced as a drop forging, to taper to a point at the end of the hook curvature (2) and for the bead (3) on the inside to be of wide configuration and to be designed so as to merge into the hook part (5) which can be placed against the back of the support section, and for the hook (1), only slightly increasing in width in the direction of the opening (7) and provided with radii (8) in the edge area, to have stabilising bulges (9) on the rear side in the area of the angled portion of the supporting part (6) (Fig. 2). <IMAGE>
