A hydraulic system part lying in the return of a hydraulic-oil utiliser, in which hydraulic oil circulates in a known manner, in which the heat due to energy losses is removed in a controlled manner, in which after start-up the hydraulic oil, during at first slight cooling, is rapidly brought to an oil viscosity saving drive energy, then, independently of the occurrence of heat loss, the hydraulic oil is kept within an operationally favourable oil-viscosity range independently of the coolant. The hydraulic system part, consisting of an oil cooler with 2 oil tanks arranged one above the other, is connected to an in-line pipe. The top edge of the pipe is at a determinable distance above the base of the top tank. The oil feed line to the oil cooler runs via the base of the top tank. The discharge line from the oil cooler leads into the bottom tank. The oil flow not to be cooled passes as a function of the oil viscosity and, deflected by the flow resistance dependent on the oil viscosity, via the top edge of the in-line pipe into the bottom tank.
