A channelled suspension rail (11) for the venetian blind is arranged horizontally at the top, carrying the blind operating mechanism (14). Two vertical guide rails (20) are provided for the blind slats, one on each side. At one end the suspension rail is positively engaged with the guide rail and has a manually adjustable latch to positively engage with the other rail. - The latch can comprise a slide mounted in the bottom of the channelled suspension rail. A locating piece (33) in the suspension rail guides the pull cord (18) extension, with a flexible shaft (43) connected to the operating mechanism through a suspension rail side opening.(12/16) |
