PURPOSE:To easily apply pulse modulation with a high on/off ratio by adding a control means intermitting the operation of a multiplier circuit so as to apply modulation in response to an input digital signal. CONSTITUTION:Since a transistor (TR) Q3 is turned on/off by a modulation input, the operation of the multiplier circuit 2 multiplying the oscillation frequency of an oscillation circuit 1 is intermitted. The modulation is applied by the intermission. Thus, a large on/off ratio is obtained easily because a weak high frequency component included in the output of the oscillation circuit 1 is leaked via the multiplier circuit 2 in the OFF state while the circuit 2 is stopped. Thus, the pulse modulation is easily applied with high on/off ratio.
