In order to avoid, to a large extent, operating stoppages resulting from foreign bodies contained in the product, a cellular wheel sluice is provided, in the region of its inlet edges, with cutting teeth for severing such foreign bodies. At the same time, these cutting teeth are constructed in a manner which favours the pressure-surge-resistant design of such a cellular wheel sluice, as removal channels for the pump air and/or leakage air.
