Process and system for producing cement clinker from raw cement slurry

The invention relates to the production of cement clinker from pumpable raw cement slurry which is first dried to form raw cement meal, whereupon said raw cement meal is preheated in a multistage suspension preheater and is then calcined in a calcining kiln to form cement clinker. An especially economical process and a plant of relatively simple construction are produced in that the pumpable raw cement slurry is first mixed with a partial amount of dry raw cement meal from an upper stage of the suspension preheater and is then dried in a pneumatic conveying drier to form raw cement meal ready for the kiln (as a feed product for the suspension preheater).
