Driving wheel for chain conveyors

In a driving wheel for chain conveyors, segments (14) which have running surfaces (15) for a chain strand (4) are distributed uniformly over the circumference of a wheel body. The segements can be displaced radially with respect to the wheel body (1) of the driving wheel. Slip blocking elements (10) are provided between successive segments. While the segments (14) can be displaced radially, the slip blocking elements (10) are mounted on the wheel body (1) of the driving wheel in a manner which allows only replacement. Every driving wheel has three segments (14) and three slip blocking elements (10). <IMAGE>
