The advantage of the invention emerges from the fact that henceforth only one container chassis has to be used for variously sized containers. The main features of the invention emerge from the fact that the movable slide serves to change the mounting surface. A further feature of the design is the manner in which the slide is moved. A design of this type has until now not been available. Only the tractor is needed in order to move the slide on the chassis. By moving the tractor back and forth, the slide is moved, after the vehicle frame has been lowered by the air suspension, by virtue of the wheels of the trailer revolving. A further relevant feature of the invention is the fact that a foldable underride guard is mounted on the movable slide. The foldable underride guard can fulfil two functions. On the one hand, when the slide is in an appropriate position, it acts as an underride guard. When the slide is in a different position, it serves as a wheel guard for the third axle. The invention simplifies the transportation of containers of various sizes.
