PURPOSE:To reduce the power difference of a motor by setting the transport direction in which the larger transport faculty is needed out of delivery and stacking into downward inclination, for the horizontal direction of the shaft of a screw conveyor, in a silo for storing particulate material. CONSTITUTION:The side wall 1 side of a screw conveyor 4 is inclined so as to be set higher than on a disc column 2 side by setting the length of the ropes 10a and 10b into the relation: 10a<10b. With such constitution, the delivery faculty can be improved in comparison with the case when the screw conveyor 4 is held horizontally. Therefore, the capacity of a motor can be reduced by the portion of improvement. Though the load is increased by the portion of inclination in loading, the motor capacity in loading can be reduced, and no trouble is generated. Therefore, the motor capacity can be reduced.
