A TUBULAR CONVEYOR

A pulley (5,6) supported belt (1) is formed into a closed tube as it moves between feed and discharge stations. A filling section adjacent the feed section has a direction of movement when the conveyor is operative which is different to the direction of movement of the preceding section of the tube. A feed discharges into the end of the tube which is no higher than the feed end. This is located above the position where a line at the angle of slump of the material to be conveyed would be tangent to the inner face of the tube at the change of direction between the filling and preceding sections.
