PURPOSE:To input a document including a half tone by one original reading and to shorten a registration time by simultaneously or selectively processing the signal of the read original in a binarization circuit and a dither processing circuit and segmenting a required area to a reading processing part. CONSTITUTION:The position, the size, the attribute or the like of the area segmented from the original are preset to a lay-out pattern setting processing part 11, a pattern corresponding to the original is selected by a keyboard 5 or the like and the original is read by a reading processing part 1. This read signal is simultaneously processed in the binarization circuit 14, the dither processing circuit 15 of a reading signal processing part 2 and a the processed signal is stored in a segment processing part 6. In this processing part 6, according to the contents of a lay out pattern registration processing part 12, the area is segmented and an allocation processing part 7 is started. Then, the signal of the area processed in the processing part 7 is displayed on a display part 3, the formed document is stored in a file part 8 and the document including the half tone is inputted in a short time by one original reading. |
