PURPOSE:To cool a rotor bar on the cooling-air discharge side by mounting radial ducts to a rotor core and a stator core. CONSTITUTION:Several ribs 2 are formed to a section of a rotor shaft 1 which a rotor core 3 is pressed into to form thrust ducts reaching radial ducts 10 for the rotor core 3, and the rotor core 3 with several radial ducts 10 is pressed into the ribs 2. Radial ducts 11, positions of which in the axial direction are made approximately the same as those of the radial ducts 10 formed to the rotor core 3, are also shaped to a stator core 12, thus forming a cooling-air path. Cooling air is taken in from an air intake by turning a rotor, passed through the cooling-air path between the rotor shaft 1 and the rotor core 3, passed through the radial ducts 10, 11, and discharged outside a frame section.
