PURPOSE:To enable to connect a line wire with a vacant line wire in a key telephone system even in the absence of an operator by providing a means which connects the line wire with the vacant line wire in the key telephone system based on the operation of a special number from the telephone set of the line wire. CONSTITUTION:When dial signal is inputted within a fixed time after the incoming from the line wire 1, it is converted to a corresponding data signal by a conversion circuit 5 and inputted to a CPU 7. The CPU 7 judges whether this data agrees with the special number which is previously set or not. When they agree, it switches a joint 10 to the (b) side of a terminal and simultaneously judges the existence of the vacant line wire. When the vacant line wire exists, the CPU 7 connects the line wire 1 and the line wire 2 by controlling a cross point 3.
