PURPOSE:To prevent cracks or the like from being generated by making this superconductive wire formed of a plurality of ceramics layers which are made of a group Ia element in a periodic table or other specific elements, and by containing at least one species of the similar elements in ceramics layers which are adjacent to each other. CONSTITUTION:This superconductive wire is formed of a plurality of layers which are made of the following elements: at least one species of elements selected from group Ia to IIIa elements in a periodic table and lanthanoid group elements, at least one species of elements selected from group Ib to IIIb elements, and one species of elements selected from oxygen, fluorine, sulfur, carbon, and nitrogen. At least one species of the similar elements are contained in the layers which are adjacent to each other. For example, this superconductive wire is provided with a central layer 1 formed of an oxide superconductor and an outer layer 2 serving as a stabilization material. A raw material for superconductor is used having composition of (Y0.2Ba0.8)2 CuO4 in the central layer 1, and a raw material for metallic layer is used having composition of (Y0.8Ba0.2)2CuO4 in the outer layer 2. Coefficients of thermal expansion can be hence made approximate to each other in the adjacent layers. Cracks and the like can be prevented from being generated and the function as a stable superconductive wire can be obtained accordingly. |
