<p>The laser device consists of a power source unit (5), a transmission cable (3) and a laser head (6). The power source unit (5) is provided with an impedance matching circuit (2), which matches the impedance (Zo) of an RF power source (1) and the impedance (Zl) of a laser tube (4) via the coaxial cable (3). The laser changes its impedance (Zo) between 500 ohm and 3 Kohm, depending on the output condition, which makes a perfect impedance matching impossible. Yet any reflection at the matching circuit (2) goes back to the laser input (4) and the electric power is efficiently used.</p> |
