The sealing profile consists of elastomeric material or plastic and is provided with at least one projecting sealing lip which can be applied elastically against the countersurface to be sealed. To achieve a constant application and sealing together with a high restoring speed, the invention provides that the sealing profile (30) has at least one reinforcement (1) of a highly-elastic, strip-shaped spring steel which extends into the sealing lip (32).
