PURPOSE:To omit the setting of a reproducing level executed at each message reproduction by a subscriber by storing the newest reproduction level for each subscriber and setting a value stored as an initial value of a reproducing level with respect to a message reproduction request of the subscriber. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber-corresponding reproducing level storage means 17 stores a setting value of a reproducing level for each subscriber line. Then a message with reproduction request is reproduced from a storage means 11 via a reproducing means 13 under the control of a control means 19. When it is sent to a subscriber line via a reproducing level setting means and a line adaptor 10, a reproducing level corresponding to the subscriber is read from a subscriber relevant reproducing level storage means 17 and set to the means 15. In revising the reproduction level, it is executed by controlling the means 15. Thus, the newest reproduction level corresponding to the subscriber is always set automatically, the level setting applied each message reproduction is omitted.
