发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNET
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the development of quenching because of heat which is generated with the peeling by winding a coil around a spool and after a compound system superconductor is formed by heat treatment, the spool is removed by disassembling it and by fixing the coil in a tubulous housing after it is impregnated in resin. CONSTITUTION:A spool frame 1 is made up so that its trunk part 2 is separable into a plurality of parts and a coil 6 where a compound superconductor, for instance, Nb3Sn is formed by heat treatment is wound around this trunk part 2. The coil 6 wound to the spool 1 in this way is treated with heat so as to form a Nb3Sn layer. After performing thin heat treatment, L-type metal fittings of the spool 1 are taken down and the coil 6 is detached from the spool 1 by disassesmbling, and removing the trunk part 2. And then, after the coil 6 is impregnated in epoxy resin at an appropriate impregnated layer, it is fixed in a tubulous housing 9. The housing 9 not only supports the coil 6 but also plays a role to reinforce the coil 6 so that its coil may cope with electromagnetic force which is generated in the case of excitation. Then, even through the superconducting magnet using the Nb3Sn coil supported in this way is excited in a liquid helium, it makes a current flow to the extent of a rated value without developing quenching.
