PURPOSE:To make the length of a tool exchange arm reducible as well as aim at promotion for lightweightiness, abatement in torque load and improvement in swing speed, by performing rotation and movement of a tool pot simultaneously with each action of a level by one cylinder and a support rod. CONSTITUTION:In the case of turning a tool pot 1 round, if a slide base 5 is moved to the right by cylinder shaft 12, a lever 8 is given 'd' rotation, and since this lever 8 and a pot guide 4 are fixed to a shaft 6, rotation of the lever 8 gives 'e' rotation to the pot guide 4. And, at a moving terminal of the slide base 5, an axis C of the pot guide 4 is turned tound till it becomes paralleled with an axis B of a spindle 19. That is to say, the tool pot 1 is turned round as far as 90 degrees and simultaneously it comes nearer to the spindle as long as a distance R, whereby a tool 2 of tool pot 1 is changed with a tool of the spindle by a tool exchange arm 3. Thus, lengh of this tool change arm can be shortened, raising the swing speed, and tool exchange time is reducible.
