PURPOSE:To make it simple to change a tool holding unit to a state suitable for each machine tool, in fixing the tool holding unit to the plural machine tool bodies, by mounting an engaging tool suitable for each machine tool on a mounting part, and engaging the engaging arm of the tool holding unit with the engaging tool after the adjustment of its position. CONSTITUTION:In fixing any tool to a machine tool body 1a through a tool holding unit 2, the tool is fitted in a tool mounting part 15, and the tip 30 of an engaging arm is fitted in the engaging part 28 of an engaging tool, and then the unit 2 is fixed to the body 1a. In this case, when a connecting part 10 is coupled with the fitting part 4a of a rotary shaft, an oiling base 6 pushes an oiling pin 17 toward a frame body 16 to disengage the tip 30 from the engaging part 28, resulting in a unit body 8 being capable of rotating in an oiling ring 9. Next, when the unit 2 is removed from the body 1a for its fixing to a machine tool body 1b, the pin 17 of the unit 2 removed from the body 1a is manually pushed into the frame body 16 to disengage the tip 30 from the engaging part 28, and after the body 8 is reversibly rotated in the ring 9 to engage the engaging part 28 with the tip 30 opposite to each other, the unit 2 is fixed to the body 1b. |
