PURPOSE:To attain message recording by adopting constitution such that an automatic incoming standby state is included in a prescribed operation when the line is closed automatically in response to a call signal from a telephone line so as to keep the line till program search or the line is finished in preparation for the next incoming call at the equipment side and asking recalling after several minutes. CONSTITUTION:An incoming detection circuit 30 detects an incoming signal from a trunk line via a telephone line terminal 1 and a control circuit 20 detects an incoming call, a relay 18 is operated. Then a relay contact l3 is closed and a DC loop via a speech network is formed to the line. In closing the line by the control circuit 20, a motor 25 is started and the reply message recorded from the standby position is sent. The reply message is sent to the terminal 1 by picking up the signal on the tape 23 by a head 21. The reproducing signal end of the reply message is detected by a voice detection circuit 12. Thus, the control circuit 20 operates a relay A19 to start a motor 26 thereby initiating the message recording.
