PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compsn. superior in sensitivity, durability, etc. by adding photocross-linkable water-soluble PVA to an aq. emulsion contg. a film-forming polymer using a photocross-linkable saponified polyvinyl acetate as a protective colloid. CONSTITUTION:Photocross-linkability is given by introducing into saponified polyvinyl acetate, styryl residues represented by the formula shown in the figure in which R<1> is an aromatic heterocyclic residue contg. quternized nitrogen; R<2> is H or lower alkoxy; (n) is 1-6; and (m) is 0 or 1, or the like method. An aq. emulsion contg. a film-forming polymer, such as vinyl acetate emulsion, is prepared by emulsion polymerizing a monomer using this saponified polyvinyl acetate as a protective colloid, and 5-200pts.wt. photocross-linkable water- soluble PVA is added to this emulsion contg. 100pts.wt. polymer to obtain the titled resin compsn. |
