PURPOSE:To obtain a diaphragm for speaker which is not deformed or does not cause divisional oscillation during oscillation and has a high-band resonance frequency, by using a formed material where a sheet material which kraft pulp and chitin of a natural high polymer are mixed to make is impregnated with Japanese lacquer. CONSTITUTION:Kraft pulp and chitin as a natural high polymer are mixed in weight ratio 7:3 and are formed into a sheet by the cylinder machine system, and this sheet is impregnated with a Japanese lacquer solution diluted with an organic solvent to obtain a domic diaphragm having 28mm caliber and 30g/m<2> coating. Since kraft pulp and chitin as a natural high polymer are mixed to make the sheet and this sheet is impregnated with Japanese lacquer to obtain the diaphragm, a speaker using this diaphragm is free from diaphragm deformation and divisional resonance and has a low distortion rate and a high-band resonance frequency to attain a satisfactory acoustic characteristic and has a high waterproof property and is superior in reliability.
