<p>PURPOSE:To obtain human interleukin 3 useful for the remedy of anemia, etc., at a low cost., by culturing a human cell capable of producing human interleukin 3 having mast cell proliferation activity or a (sub)clone of the cell and separating the objective substance from cultured product. CONSTITUTION:Peripheral blood is collected from adult T-cell leukemia patient and a monocyte is separated from the blood and cultured to obtain a cell strain capable of producing human interleukin 3 (abbreviated as human IL-3). The cell strain is cloned to obtain a clone strain having high productivity of human IL-3. The human IL-3-producing cell, its clone or subclone is cultured and the produced human IL-3 having mast cell proliferation activity is collected. The obtained human IL-3 is active to induce the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic system in general, such as pluripotent stem cell and is useful for the remedy of a plastic anemia, etc., and the proliferation of marrow cell in marrow transplantation, etc.</p> |
