PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the reception by storing plural sub addresses, comparing a sub address in an incoming signal with a stored sub address and ringing a call tone corresponding to the sub address when any sub address corresponds to the stored sub address. CONSTITUTION:In sharing one telephone set by several persons, for example, a different sub address is given to each person, and the sub address is set and stored in digital telephone sets 33a-33c to obtain the effect of plural extension numbers from one telephone set. When a caller applies the sub address in its origination, the sub address is discriminated in the incoming call and a call tone corresponding to the sub address is raised. When each person sharing the digital telephone sets 33a-33c stores its own call tone, since to whom the call comes is discriminated easily, the person concerned can receive the call directly. Thus, the trouble of the reception of a call for other person is not required.
