PURPOSE:To permit safe and sure fixing of slack parts in an SZ twisted state to a tensile body by integrally fixing the contact part of the central part of the SZ twist slack forming part and the tensile body while forming the SZ twist slacks twisted to a periodically inverting spiral shape to the tensile body fixed at specified intervals. CONSTITUTION:The tensile body 8 and an optical fiber cable 9 are integrally fixed by a fixing device 1 and thereafter, the body and cable are taken off for a specified length by a take-off 6. After the slack is provided in the cable 9 by a slackening device 2, the cable is integrally fixed to the body 8. The SZ twist is then formed to the slack provided in the cable 9 by a SZ twisting device 4 which twists the cable to the periodically inverting spiral shape. The contact part of the central part of the SZ twist forming part of the cable 9 provided with the SZ twist slack and the tensile body is fixed by a formed part fixing device 5. The slack parts as a surplus length are thereby formed to the SZ twist to the SZ twist shape having the SZ twist with respect to the tensile body while the cable is fixed integrally to the tensile body while the cable is fixed integrally to the tensile body at the specified intervals in a series of production stages and, therefore, sufficient twists can be provided the cable. |
