PURPOSE:To prevent the loss of energy, by a method wherein a wiper is scanned while pushing the same against the surface of a dome to wash while injecting pressurized washing water from the inner surface of the wiper, in the spherical dome accommodating a solar light collecting lens system. CONSTITUTION:When a wiper 10 made of rubber or the like is attached to the upper side of an upper spherical dome 1a by a connecting flange 7 and a DC reduction motor 15, fixed to a U-shaped fixing fitting 18 through a mounting fitting 17, is driven, the wiper 10 scans the surface of the dome 1a by a driving motor shaft 16. In this case, a wire 20, retained to the other end of the shaft, receives a given tension by a tension device, consisting of a pulley 21, attached to the fixing fitting 19, and a reeling device 22, provided with a spring therein, and the wiper 10 is pushed against the surface of the dome 1a with a given pressure; then, pressurized washing water is injected from injecting ports 23 through an inflow port 14 and a washing water passage 11 to wash the dome. When the wiper 10 itself is to be washed, the wiper is lifted to a position B. Thus, the surface of the dome may be washed at all times by arranging a portable spherical dome washing device.
