PURPOSE:To effect two entirely different operations positively by letting both the elevation and horizontal movement of a spindle fitted with a film be effected by a single drive power source in a drive transmission device suitable for developing a disc film. CONSTITUTION:Ratchet wheels 35 and 36 which are stationarily rotating as a result of rotation transmitted from a drive power source, are provided to this device wherein the ratchet wheel 36 is arranged for rotation independent from a rotary disc 33. A rotary disc 37 is also arranged in the ratchet wheel 35 for rotation independent therefrom, and a ratchet pawl 38 is rotatably pivoted on the disc 37 so as to be capable of being meshed with and disconnected from the ratchet wheel 35. A ratchet pawl 45 is rotatably pivoted on the disc 33 which is coaxial with the ratchet 36, and a projection 46 capable of being meshed with the ratchet wheel 36 is provided in the inside of the pawl 45. A locking lever 50 is provided to the right side of the rotary discs 37 and 33. And a solenoid 54 is connected to the midsection of the lever 50 so as to disengage the pawl 38.
