PURPOSE:To quickly access a desired data file at the time of reproduction, by setting one or more blocks to a recording area of an information recording carrying body, and recording an artificial signal to both end parts of the block. CONSTITUTION:One or more blocks 50 of an arbitrary size are set to a recording area of an optical card 1, and an artificial data signal 60 and an artificial directory signal 70 are recorded in advance to tracks of both end parts, respectively, of each block. A data file is recorded to one block next to the artificial data signal, and also, a directory for managing this file is also recorded next to the artificial directory signal of the same block. In such a way, only desired information can be read out in a short time at the time of reproduction.
