PURPOSE:To contrive sound sleep during sleeping, by a method wherein a driving means is provided with a signal to turn an up-and-down deflecting vane from downward position to upward position when an operating mode switching switch is switched into a set operation mode. CONSTITUTION:When an operation mode, detected by a thermistor 21, becomes a set mode (sleeping mode) set in a memory 23 previously, a micro-computer 22 for air conditioning turns a middle motor 3 counterclockwise, a left motor 9a clockwise and a right motor 9b counterclockwise, thereafter, stops the motor 9b. According to this operation, an up-and-down deflecting vane 1 is turned upwardly and left and right deflecting vanes 5a, 5b are turned outwardly, whereby blow-off cool air is branched upwardly. Thus, air does not hit a human body directly during sleeping; therefore, sound sleep may be effected without feeling cold feeling while cool airflow descends from the upper part of a living space; therefore, the improvement of temperature distribution as well as good feeling may be attained.
