PURPOSE:To prevent cracking and breaking by passing wire stock of powder metallurgical material or the like through a straightener and further passing it through alternately arranged tubular electric furnaces and forging machines to repeatedly carry out annealing and drawing until a wire of a required diameter is obtd. CONSTITUTION:Wire stock of powder metallurgical material or the like is transferred by pinch rollers and passed through a straightener. It is then annealed by passing through a tubular electric furnace and drawn by passing through a forging machine. The stock is further passed through pinch rollers, tubular electric furnaces and forging machines arranged in multiple stages to repeatedly carry out transfer, annealing and drawing until a wire of a required diameter is obtd.
