CURABLE EPOXY-BLOCKED URETHANE COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled one-pack type composition having excellent storage stability and capable of providing a curing product having good physical properties, by blending an epoxy resin with a specific blocked isocyanate compound and a carboxylic acid dihydrazide compound which is a latent crosslinking agent. CONSTITUTION:(A) Epoxy resin is blended with (B) blocked isocyanate compound obtained by masking (i) urethane prepolymer having 1-10wt.% NCO group content and 600-20,000 average molecular weight with ((ii) phenolic OH-containing compound (e.g. phenol) in an equivalent ratio of NCO/OH of 1/1.0-1/2.0 and (C) carboxylic acid dihydrazide compound (e.g. adipic acid dihydrazide) to provide the aimed composition. The blend is preferably carried out in the blend ratio of component (A)/component (B) of 10-40/90-60(wt.%) and in the sum of equivalent ratio of epoxy group of component (A)/active hydrogen of component (C) of 1/0.5-1.5 and equivalent ratio of NCO of component (B)/NH2 of component (C) of 1/0.6-1.5.
