PURPOSE:To make it possible to prepare delicious dishes in a short period of time by activating gas by disposing gas activating ceramics in a housing having an inlet and an outlet. CONSTITUTION:A housing 3 has an inlet 4 at one end and outlets at the other end, and multiple gas activating ceramics 6 are disposed therein. As gas G flows in, it is diffused through an orifice 13 and a hole 14 in a first inner cover 12. The gas is then flown in to an inlet side retainer 10 and is further diffused on the coiled inlet side 10. The diffused gas G is activated as it passes through the ceramic cluster 7. When the gas which has been so activated is burnt by a cooking burner 19, individual cells are resonated and activated by the action of infrared rays as the cooking goes on. As a result, cells are not destroyed, and delicious dishes can be prepared in a short period of time without spoiling the intrinsic taste of the food.
