PURPOSE:To automatically execute the indention of the back of a text by only designating the parameter of the caption by designating the imposition start-end of the text for definiting a format caption. CONSTITUTION:The format definitions in a focument file includes a part 12 related to the definitions of the whole and a part 13 related to the definitions of captions, and the number of captions are equal to the number of pieces of captions appearing in the document such as major captions, intermediate captions, etc. A means to execute the definition of the imposition start-end of the text following the format caption in the very definition 13 of the format caption, is provided. As a result, the indention of the text is automatically achieved only if the parameter of an caption is designated in sentences, hence the document can be easily generated. Further, a modification on an indention can be easily executed only by modifying the definition of a format caption.
