PURPOSE:To shorten the time for refining by providing a single or plural flow passages having a trap column via a flow passage change over mechanism and a drain flow passage to the down stream side of a detector which detects the outflow components from sepn. columns. CONSTITUTION:A soln. mixture composed of a phosphoric acid buffer soln. and acetonitrile is used as a mobile phase 2 in the case of drawing benzoic acid and component A from a sample soln. contg., for example, benzoic acid, methyl benzoate (component A) and acetic acid. The three components in the sample soln. introduced through a sample introducing port 4 into the sepn. columns 5 move between the columns at the respectively intrinsic moving speeds and arrive at the detector 6. The flow passage change over mechanism 7 exists in the position 7-n when the time for elution of the acetic acid comes. The mechanism 7 is changed over to the position 7-n by a control means and the mobile phase contg. the benzoic acid is guided by a trap coupler 8-1 and is held in the column when the times for starting the elution of the benzoic acid comes. The mechanism 7 is changed over to the position 7-2 and the component A is trapped in the column 8-2 when the elution of the component A by the column 5 begins.
