PURPOSE:To avoid the misoperations caused by the interference between the obstacle detecting devices of unmanned carriers, by providing the polarizing filters having the polarizing angles proper to each carrier at the light transmitting parts of both a projector and a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal polarizing filter 6 is attached at the projecting part 3a and a photodetecting part 4a of an obstacle detecting device of an unmanned carrier 1a to transmit only the horizontal components of the light. While a vertical polarizing filter 7 is attached at a projecting part 3 and a photodetecting part 4b of an obstacle detecting device of another unmanned carrier 1b to transmit only the vertical components of the light. Thus the light emitted from the part 3b of the obstacle detecting device of the carrier 1b is never received by the part 4a of the obstacle detecting device of the carrier 1a. As a result, it is possible to avoid the misoperations due to the interference caused between the obstacle detecting devices of both carriers 1a and 1b running opposite to each other. |
