PURPOSE:To prevent a delivery valve from needlessly repeating its opening and closing, by starting a compressor with its intermediate delivery path communicating with neither the suction side nor the delivery side, when the compressor is in power control operation, and connecting the intermediate delivery path to only the suction side when a delivery temperature reaches a preset value. CONSTITUTION:Annularly connecting a compressor 9, condenser 19, pressure reducing device 18 and an evaporator 17, a refrigerating cycle is constituted. And the compressor 9 provides an intermediate delivery port 20 to be opened and closed by a free valve 21. Further the intermediate delivery port 20 communicates with the outside of the compressor 9 through an intermediate delivery path 22, while it communicates with respectively suction path and delivery path sides of the compressor 9 through a bypass path 232 and a back pressure path 24. Here the bypass path 23 and the back pressure path 24 provide respectively a bypass valve 3 and a back pressure valve 6 of electromagnetically opening and closing type. In this way, the compressor 9, when it is in power control operation, is started by respectively closing each valve 3, 6, and only the bypass valve 3 is opened when a delivery temperature reaches a preset value.
