Date Feb. 13, 1986.The present invention relates to new compounds of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> (I) wherein R stands for hydrogen, C1-8 straight or branched chained alkyl, C1-4 haloalkyl, C1-4 alkoxy-C1-2 alkyl, R1 stands for 2,3-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-benzofuran-7-yl, 4-methyl-coumarin-7-yl, 2,2,4-trimethyl-(2H)-chromen-5-yl or 2,2,4-trimethyl-(2H)-chromen-7-yl and Me stands for a monovalent cation and represents the salt of the acid. The new compounds show plant growth regulating activity and can be used as active ingredient of plant growth regulators.
