PURPOSE:To permit quantiative immunological determination of host-derived extraneous material with high sensitivity by comparing the reaction of a host- derived material in a specimen and a polyclonal antibody to a hot-derived material with a refined host-derived materials as a standard material. CONSTITUTION:A crude extraction liquid of the host is inoculated to an animal except man to produce the polyclonal antibody to the host-derived material included in the crude extraction liquid. The host-derived material which can be an immune source in said animal is refined from the crude extraction liquid of the host by the resulted polyclonal antibody. The reactivities of the host- derived material in the specimen and the polyclonal antibody to the host-derived material are then compared with the refined host-derived material as the standard material. The hosts used in genetic recombination technology, for example, procaryotic cells such as coliform bacilli and eucaryotic cells such as yeast are included in the host of this embodiment. The crude extraction liquid of the host is obtd. by breaking down the host cells by attrition, etc., in a suitable soln., then filtering the soln. then removing insoluble fraction part. The immunological determination of the host-derived extraneous material with the high sensitivity is thus permitted.
