PURPOSE:To efficiently degrease a coiled material by dipping the coiled metallic thin sheet to be degreased in the degreasing solvent in a degreasing tank, and covering the coiled sheet with a hood connected to a vacuum pump. CONSTITUTION:The coiled metallic thin sheet 25 to be degreased is arranged in the degreasing tank 9. The coiled sheet 25 is covered with the hood 20, and fixed to the hood 20 through an O ring 26. As the inside of the hood 20 is sucked by the vacuum pump 21, the degreasing solvent 4 is supplied from the lower part from a solvent regenerating device 14 also used as an external tank. The solvent 24 is sufficiently infiltrated into the coil. The vacuum pump 21 is then stopped, a circulating pump 16 is driven, and the solvent 24 is circulated. By this method, the coiled sheet 25 is efficiently degreased.
