PURPOSE:To enable high speed assortment while increasing the transit speed of an article assorting part by providing an endless conveying belt in the assorting part of a assorting device wherein the articles are conveyed in side direction and classified in the assorting part on a conveyor connecting the plural assorting parts to each other. CONSTITUTION:In an assorting device wherein assorting parts 2 are spaced at plural positions on a conveyor 1 extending lengthwise in the conveying direction, and prescribed articles reaching the assorting part 2 are conveyed out in the side direction, each assorting part 2 is constructed by a roller conveyor 21 for conveying out the articles in the side direction and a pair of endless conveying belts 22 for allowing said assorting part 2 to directly pass through. The roller conveyor 21 is set for its conveying surface to be positioned at a slightly lower position than the conveying surface by a belt 16 of the conveyor 1. On the other hand, the endless conveying belt 22 is provided in a rockable manner between a position being the same level as the conveying surface of the belt 16 and a position to which said endless conveying belt is retired from the conveying surface of the roller conveyor 21. |
