The method is for handling coniferous trees which require to be moved from a greenhouse for planting out. From a storage roll, a packing material strip is drawn and folded longitudinally to form a groove in which the plants are introduced with intermediate spaces. After this, the groove walls are sealed against one another, so that a strip with plants located transversely in it is formed. The strip is then wound up for transport to a planting location. |
