PURPOSE:To enable the clamping pressures of rollers to be easily changed in a plurality of stages according to the kind of a paper such as a continuous form paper and a slip paper, by providing a moving mechanism for changing the clamping pressures of upstream feeding rollers and downstream feeding rollers in at least two stages. CONSTITUTION:Pairs of rollers 16-19 are disposed respectively on the upstream side and the downstream side of a printing position on a platen 11, and a printing paper is fed along a substantially straight line. In the case of printing on a slip printing paper being manually fed from a position on a manual paper supply guide plate 25 into a paper guide passage 21, an operating lever 39 is operated to a position I to set the clamping pressures of the pressing feeding rollers 17, 18 to be 'high', for example. By this, the printing paper is fed in a line feeding direction through rotation of the rollers 16-19. In the case of printing on a continuous form printing paper being fed in by operating a tractor unit 5, the lever 39 is operated to a position II to set the clamping pressures to be 'low', for example. By this, the paper is smoothly fed, without slacking, while slipping at the parts of the feeding rollers 16-19 rotated at a feeding speed slightly higher than that of a pin tractor 24 of the tractor unit 5. |
