PURPOSE:To exclude the limitation of control item number and to facilitate the operation by using an automatic dial key for one-touch dial provided normally to a key telephone set for controlling a sound recording unit in common. CONSTITUTION:A call key 370 is operated after off-hook and keys 376-380 of an automatic dial (ADK) 37b are operated and after once hook-on, the keys 376-380 are operated, then lots of control items are controlled easily by using the ADK 37b in common. A sound recording unit (REU) 17, however, splits a memory formed into an integrated circuit into plural blocks, the result is used for automatic answering message, information message and message recording or the like and selected in response to each application by address designation. Thus, the control of the REU 17 over lots of items is applied freely and the possibility of causing malfunction is completely precluded and the REU 17 is controlled without increasing the number of keys to simplify the constitution.
