PURPOSE:To increase contact of superconducting filaments with each other and reduce their breakage by eliminating space between wires in fixing roots of subject wires and pressing them in a pipe. CONSTITUTION:Stabilized copper at the connecting parts of superconductive wires 1, 2 to be connected with each other is dissolved by thick nitric acid, so superconducting filaments 3, 4 are exposed. They are fixed with a fixing wire 8 in such a way that positions of roots of the filaments 3, 4 are deflected from each other. A connecting wire 5 is put between the superconducting wires 1, 2 when connecting them. Superconducting filaments 6 cover the filaments 3, 4 to keep contact between the filaments 3, 4 after stabilized copper of the connecting wire is removed by thick nitric acid. The filaments 6 and filaments 3, 4 covered with them are inserted into a copper pipe 7, which is pressed by external pressure, thereby contact of filaments 3, 4 with each other is increased, and their breakage can be reduced.
