<p>PURPOSE:To improve treatment quantity and a treatment speed even when an adsorbing apparatus having the same scale as a conventional method is used, by constituting an adsorbent by arranging 40-70vol.% of fibrous activated carbon and 60-30vol.% of granular activated carbon in a closely contacted state. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbent is constituted by arranging 40-70vol.% of fibrous activated carbon (FAC) and 60-40vol.% of granular activated carbon (BAC) in a closely contacted state. FAC pref. has physical properties such that a specific surface area is 700-2,500m<2>/g, a fiber diameter is 10-15mm, tensile strength is 10-25kg/mm<2> and elongation is 2-3%. BAC pref. has physical properties such that a specific surface area is 900-1,200m<2>/g and an average particle size is about 0.9-0.4mm. In the aforementioned adsorbent, an especially pref. result is obtained in the adsorption of a solvent easy to adsorb such as benzene or toluene and a substance such as aldehydes or amines by FAC.</p> |
