The subject of the present invention is a profile intended for bath tub or shower cubicle screens. A profile of the invention is characterised in that the cross-section 11, 12, 13, 14 comprises : a circular hollowing 15 open on a corner, a so-called lateral hollowing 16 open through a passage 17, an end hollowing 25 open at 24, a central hollowing 19 whose back wall 20 comprises an open cell 21, and the cross member 23 comprises two open cells 22; snap-fitting means arranged on the profile and a compensating mechanism comprising a tube-shaped drive member contained in the profile allowing panels to pivot, slide, move down and up above the tap fittings of a bathtub. <IMAGE>
