PURPOSE:To enable plate making of a clear light transmission image section with high fidelity, by providing a discharge electrode section where a plurality of conductive discharge patterns are formed integrally in parallel with predetermined micro gap along one edge of an insulator. CONSTITUTION:An insulator 2 in a discharge recording material 1 composed of a flexible sheet material and provided with conductive discharge patterns 3a..., 3b... is folded is folded along a center line Z-Z' such that the conductive patterns come upside. Patterns 3a, 3b are formed alternately in parallel on a folding edge 2d of the folded insulator 2 so as to provide predetermined number of discharge electrodes 4 on a line width micro gaps. Information at an original image section 14 of a manuscript 14 is read out through an image reader 15, then electrical recording signals R based on the information at the original image section 14a are applied selectively onto respective conductive discharge patterns 3a..., 3b... of the discharge recording material 1 in order to form a light transmission image section A4 on a metallic vapor deposition layer A1 in a print sheet 7 through discharge, thus obtaining an original plate 20 of the manuscript 14 easily and quickly. |
