PURPOSE:To enhance printing quality and to facilitate the mounting and detachment of a printing wheel, by supporting a carriage bracket around a support shaft in a freely revolvable manner and engaging a clamp spring with a clamp arm in a printing state to press the same to a support plate. CONSTITUTION:When a carriage bracket 15 is revolved around a support shaft 12 in a counterclockwise direction, a clamp arm 19 impinges against a clamp spring 16 to push down a carrier 14. The carrier 14 impinges against a support plate 11 and the engaging part 16c of the clamp spring 16 is engaged with the leading end of the clamp arm 19 and the carriage bracket 15 is certainly brought into engagement with the carrier 14 and a slider 25 is pressed to the sliding surface of the slider on the support plate 11 to obtain a printing state. When the carriage bracket 15 is revolved in the clockwise direction, the hook part 14b of the carrier 14 is hooked with the support plate 11 through a leaf spring 17 to prevent the revolution of the carrier 14 and the engagement of the engaging part 16c of the clamp spring 16 with the leading end of the clamp arm 19 is released and a knob part 22a is held to make it possible to detach and replace a printing wheel 22. |
