PURPOSE:To carry out registration and correction quickly, by lapping a correction pattern data over a print data upon detection of an erroneous print data and printing them simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:When an input data is stored into a first buffer memory 2, a confirmation signal is fed from a confirmation signal generating means 5 to first control means 6 so as to move the data to a second buffer memory 2. When a second control means 8 receives a confirmation signal, a normal character pattern is generated from a print character generating means 4 and a printing means 9 starts printing operation. When the control means 8 receives a cancel signal from a cancel signal generating means 7, a correction character pattern is generated from the print character generating means 4 and the printing means 9 carries out overlapped printing of previous print pattern and correction character pattern. Correction can be made through normal feeding operation without disabling the feeding operation except canceling operation. |
